Through the connected stories of two long-married couples, Illusions reveals the paradoxes of passion and death, loyalty and betrayal, truth and fiction. A journey through the lives of four people trying to find their place in the world, together and on their own – even when it looks so weird: in the closet, on a round rock in the desert in Australia…
The stories are told by four narrators in their 30s. We know nothing about them. They tell the stories as if they were echoes of past lives, in so doing dissecting the true nature of love with dark yet humorous notes. Welcome to existential comedy.
