This is not the first time that the ballet enthusiasts from Bilbao had the opportunity to admire and applaud Aterballeto, the main dance company in Italy.

After its previous visits to Bilbao with “Romeo and Juliet” and “Pression/Incanto”, the ballet offers now a suggestive double programme called “Eat a breath”, by the brilliant choreographer Mauro Bigonzetti and music by G. F. Haendel, in which “a breath emanates and passes through Haendal´s musical score, transmitting echoes from the infinite space to us”.

And, in the second place, “Rossini cards” with music by G. Rossini. “An expression of the geometrical and precise Gioacchino Rossini´s music, its pressing rhythm and dionysian vitalism”.

Founded in 1989 and after almost twenty years under the artistic direction of Amedeo Amodio, the company has selected an important repertoire, under the artistic direction of Cristina Bozzonlini, composed of works by Mauro Bigonzetti and other significant choreographers as William Forsythe, Glen Tetley, Alvin Ailey, Lucinda Childs and the brand new national star Eugenio Scigliano.

The company includes mostly solo dancers with a very high technical level, interpreting the most demanding roles in very different styles. Aterballetto has earned the recognition of the audience, within and outside Italy.
