PinoXXIo

The winner of the Max Award is finally coming to the Arriaga Theatre

27 to 29 december 2018

Pinoxxio is the recipient of seven Max Awards, including Best Children’s Show. It is a new, timeless, version of Carlo Collodi’s tale as seen by Ananda Dansa, winners of the National Dance Award in 2006 – a version in which the tale and the characters feel contemporary to the twenty-first-century audience.

Setting aside the most iconic aspects in the original tale, Pinoxxio focuses on the father-son relationship between Geppetto and Pinocchio. The father wants his son to be what he has dreamt for him, but the son wants to gain experience and travel the wonderful world, without rules. A clash that can only be resolved with dialogue and love.
