Moby Dick

A fascinating metaphor of man’s struggle with himself and with nature

11 to 14 october 2018

Josep Maria Pou is coming on stage in the shoes of Captain Ahab, one of the most memorable literary characters of all time, to tell the story of his obsession with Moby Dick, the white whale. This new staging, directed by Andrés Lima, delivers Melville’s novel revisited by Juan Cavestany.

A fascinating metaphor of man’s struggle with himself and with nature in an austere production that highlights Ahab’s obsession, defying all the principles of reason, swallowing all traces of willpower and gobbling up what is left of kindness in the human soul.
