THEATRE – OPEN STAGE SPACE

On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Jose Maria Iparragirre, the Loraldia Festival is offering a special show, to be premiered at the Arriaga Theatre, showing appreciation for his invaluable musical contributions. Iparragirre is one of the most important composers in the history of the Basque Country.

The show’s text is based on letters to Iparragirre, whose fictional authors are women who played key roles in his life: his mother, his wife, the soprano he met in Paris, Manuela, his daughters… These women will remember him from a variety of points of view. The texts, interspersed with songs, make a lovely show.
