A terrible path often has to be travelled to discover oneself

09 to 12 february 2017

At times, it is necessary to spread fires. A terrible path often has to be travelled to discover oneself. A woman has just died and today the door to her silence and her secrets is opened. She leaves her twins a suit in green fabric, a red notebook and two envelopes that are like two Pandora boxes from which evils and wonders emerge, and whose content is going to take them on a fabulous odyssey, towards a far-off continent, towards an unknown past, towards a second birth.

Wajdi Mouawad, the author, is an arsonist, an awakener of consciences and hearts.  Lebanese by origin, trained in France, adopted by Montreal, he sets fire to all flags and discovers fascinating worlds that have captivated Mario Gas, another theatre arsonist. In addition to his directing mastery and a first-rate cast headed by Nuria Espert and Ramón Barea, the fire is lit.
