RIGOR MORTIS
A comedy of entanglements in which the secrets surrounding death are laid bare for all to hear.
Grandfather Rufino has died, with his mouth open. Grandmother does not want anyone to see him like that. With the complicity of a rather unusual housemate, she will do whatever is necessary to make sure rigor mortis catches him with his mouth closed. Meanwhile, having to keep up appearances in front of their daughter and granddaughter plunges them headlong into a comedy of misunderstandings. Four women and a corpse. Although death will bring the family together, the airing of long-hidden secrets will leave them all open-mouthed. Alea iacta est.
Rigor mortis is a play selected for the programme Antzerkigintza berriak-Nuevas dramaturgias, promoted by ANTZ3RKIZ, the initiative that brings together Teatro Principal in Vitoria, Teatro Victoria Eugenia in Donostia and Teatro Arriaga in Bilbao.
