Manel: Jo competeixo

Uttering the name Manel is talking of the most important independent musical phenomenon in Spain in the past five years.

Months after closing the “Atletes, baixin de l’escenari” tour to 60,000 spectators (La Mercá, 2014), Manel has announced the details of its latest album, “Jo competeixo”. Unlike the previous three albums, recorded in the strictest privacy, the fourth album by the quartet from Barcelona is their first experience alongside the North American producer, Jake Aron. With his help, Guillem Gisbert, Roger Padilla, Martí Maymó and Arnau Vallvé have undergone a decisive inflection towards contemporary pop, which spectators in Bilbao will be able to enjoy on Manel’s visit to the Arriaga Theatre.
