“Maletak” is a meeting between ancestral traditions, creative musicians inspired by the rhythms of the world and public energy. In this musical and visual experience, Kepa Junkera is accompanied by Sorginak, which is made up of young women who sing, dance and play all kinds of percussion. Furthermore, the show includes special invited guests, such as Aitzol Atutxa (Aizkolari), Karmele Gisasola (Harrijasotzaile), Joaldunak de Ituren… and many other surprises.
Universally and essentially Basque, Kepa Junkera is above all a great artist who has revolutionised Basque music to give it a new life and bring it up to date and make it contemporary. Thanks to his talent, he has been able to take his music and our culture to corners of the world where it had never been heard. In 2004, he won a Grammy thanks to a work recorded at the Arriaga Theatre.
