The dark is warm and enveloping. A place where you can sleep peacefully and travel to the realm of dreams or return to your mother’s womb. Where you can be vulnerable. But the dark also is frightening, a kingdom of nightmares and loneliness, the domain of hungry ghosts that roam in search of relief and satisfaction.

“The Best of Darkness” completes a series of works with original music by the renowned Icelandic band Sigur Rós. Erna Ómarsdóttir and the Icelandic Dance Company are returning to the Arriaga Theatre with this work inspired by the darkness and vulnerability of the human body.
