Christmas at the Arriaga will be monstrously funny, courtesy of El jovencito Frankenstein (Young Frankenstein), a musical based on the 1974 smash-hit film by Mel Brooks. After being a huge success in Broadway, the West End and Madrid – where it was staged last year to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the first publication of Frankenstein, on 1 January 1818 -, this musical is now coming to Bilbao.
The electrifying theatre version of the film brings together the language of the big screen and the features of the stage. The result is a brilliant show with unforgettable numbers like ‘The Transylvania Mania’ or ‘Puttin’ On the Ritz’.
