An opera based on the popular Grimm Brothers’ tale for six singers, two choirs, and orchestra. A work that transports us to the world of Hamelin, a place haunted by the presence of rats.
Using techniques from musical theater, the action moves swiftly, showcasing different scenes where the characters interact. Filled with humor, OCN’s proposal takes us from the fairy tale to history, using singing, music, lighting, and set design to explore themes such as betrayal, lies, kindness, and nobility.
In Spanish with subtitles in Basque and Spanish.
