Coro Rossini: ¡Zarzuela on air!

There was a time in which radio and subsequently television were responsible for popularising melodies as famous as “Las lagarteranas”, “La verbena de la Paloma”, “La mazurca de las sombrillas” and many others. “Zarzuela On Air”! recreates a radio studio from that time; with a presenter who takes the audience through a story of love and intrigue, receiving calls from listeners and offering live music.

The music played will include some of the best choruses written for great works of Spanish light opera: “Los gavilanes”, “El huésped del sevillano”, “La corte de Faraón”, etc. performed by the Rossini Choir.
