BEZPERAN

The choreography *Bezperan* is written for eight dancers. Eight, a sacred number in the tradition of Basque dance, as seen in ritual carnival dances such as the *makil-dantza* or the *zinta-dantza*.

A dance that embraces the call of a new light and a new balance. Daniel San Pedro is the director and a member of the National Scene of Southern Aquitaine.

The energy displayed by Nijinsky in the ballet *Le Sacre du printemps* is a major source of inspiration for the dancers: a raw, organic, wild, rhythmic and at times violent image of bodies, opening the way to represent struggle, desire, sensuality and our own inner animal.
