“Kaash” which means “if there was” in Hindi, is a dance show in which we attend the invocation of the Hindu Gods Ganesh, Krishna, Shiva, each one of them a custodian of symbolic characteristics and ancient rhythms. The construction of this choreography is closely linked to the traditional musical cycles of Hindu music. Creation and destruction are the starting points of this show for five dancers.

Akram Khan is currently one of the most famous and respected dancers. He has created shows such as “Desh”, “iTMOi”, “Vertical Road”, “Gnosis”, “Zero degrees” and a part of the Opening Ceremony of the 2012 London Olympic Games.

For the creation of “Kaash”, the choreographer Akram Khan collaborated with two famous artists, the composer Nitin Sawhney and the sculptor Anish Kapoor.

Nitin Sawhney, currently one of the most active, versatile and sought-after composers, is the composer of the soundtracks of more than 50 films. He has recorded nine studio albums and has collaborated with important artists such as Paul McCartney and Sting, among others.

Anish Kapoor, who was born in Bombay in 1954 and lives and works in London, is one of the most influential sculptors of his generation, some of his works can be seen at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao.
