Sutra

An incredible show exploring the concepts behind the Shaolin tradition and its relationship with Kung-Fu

05 to 06 october 2018

Sutra is an award-winning show, the result of collaboration between choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, sculptor Antony Gormley and 19 Buddhist monks from the Shaolin Temple in China. An incredible show of athleticism, it explores the philosophy and faith behind the Shaolin tradition and its relationship with Kung-Fu in a contemporary context.

With a striking set made of 21 wooden boxes designed by Antony Gormley and a score specially composed by Polish musical artist Szymon Brzóska and performed live, Sutra is a unique work that has conquered audiences around the globe. It is a truly sophisticated production, an authentic work of art.
