MEMORIAS DE ADRIANO
A new and faithful theatrical adaptation of the novel that seeks to shed light on this crisis of values.
A new and faithful theatrical adaptation of *Memoirs of Hadrian* by Marguerite Yourcenar arrives, with a bold approach that seeks to shed light on the serious political and social crisis of values we are currently experiencing.
In 1998, Spain saw the first adaptation and staging of the novel, with Jean Launay as the adapter and Maurizio Scaparro as the director. Now, in 2025, twenty-seven years later, the goal is to update that perspective and bring to the stage a theatrical proposal that engages with our present, placing the thoughts of Emperor Hadrian at the center of the proposal through the lucid and powerful vision of M. Yourcenar.
