LOVESONG
How has it all gone by so quickly? Where has the time gone? We can all relate to the feeling behind these questions.
How has time flown so fast? Lovesong, by Abi Morgan, is a moving story about love and the passage of time, tracing a lifetime journey between Maggie and Billy—from the overwhelming passion of their youth to the silences that settle in forty years later. As Maggie and Billy prepare for a crucial week together, past and present intertwine, bringing them face to face with their younger selves in a dance of memories that bursts with emotional intensity. *Lovesong* reminds us that when love is real, all that’s left is to take the leap.
Abi Morgan is a renowned playwright and screenwriter, winner of both BAFTA and Emmy awards. She has written numerous plays as well as film and television scripts, including work for Netflix. Her first book, This Is Not A Pity Memoir, is a bestseller.
