More than anything on that day, 6 April, eleven women workers began to chase after a ball.

On 6 April 1917 (a Friday), a radio at the front line announced new deaths. Among them was Prince Friedrich Karl, nephew of Kaiser Wilhelm and show jumping bronze medallist at the 1912 Olympics.

On 6 April 1917 Lenin was preparing the Russian Revolution.

On 6 April 1917 (a Friday) the United States went to war.

But, above all, on April 6, 1917, (a Friday) during the lunch break, eleven Doyle & Walker munitions workers, eleven yellow hand stained munitionettes, started chasing after a ball.
