LA VIDA EXTRAORDINARIA

by Mariano Tenconi Blanco

Friendship and literature break through as something extraordinary. Perhaps even a miracle.

01 to 03 october 2026

Malena Alterio and Carmen Ruiz play two friends with ordinary lives. Two normal lives. No great prizes, tragic stories or unforgettable adventures. Aurora and Blanca have been friends all their lives. Both come from a small town. Aurora is a teacher, moves to Madrid, gets married, has a son, a husband. And she writes poetry. Blanca is a seamstress, lives with her mother, has a boyfriend, stays in the village. And she writes poetry too. Two ordinary lives. Friendship and literature as the appearance of something extraordinary.

Explaining the origin of life on Earth is very difficult. Some believe it began in water. That the process may have taken millions and millions of years. But that life was chemically bound to happen. Others believe in the extraterrestrial origin of life. A meteorite that brought substances that did not exist on Earth. Some even believe that life was seeded on Earth by intelligent aliens. And others believe in God. Whatever it was that initiated life, it is the most extraordinary fact in biology. Perhaps the most extraordinary fact we know. It happened once. And since that moment, it has never stopped happening. Genetics. And evolution. And time. Life is a miracle. *La vida extraordinaria* seeks to tell that miracle.
