IKIMILIKILIKLIK Vol.2

Fifty years ago, Mikel Laboa and the Artze brothers embarked on a path of avant-garde experimentation and created IKIMILIKILIKLIK, a surprising and innovative work that fused multiple disciplines: Laboa’s earliest songs, Artze’s poetry, audiovisual elements, the art of Zumeta… and a new use of the txalaparta. With this creation they travelled to the Venice Biennale and received international recognition.

Five decades later, Loraldia embraces the experimental spirit of that time and presents a new vision: the IKIMILIKILIKLIK of the 21st century. The avant-garde has lived through fifty winters, passing the time while watching over spring. This new work explores the umbilical cord between eras, from “everything still to be done” to “everything already done”. A creation conceived in dialogue with the original IKIMILIKILIKLIK.
