Mikel Laboa Tribute Concert

Delorean formed in 2001 in Zarautz, and has released several albums since then. Albums such as “Subiza” and “Apar” catapulted them onto the international scene with tours of the five continents.

In 2014, the suggestion was made that a concert should be organised to pay tribute to Mikel Laboa, as part of the Adarra awards which are presented at the Victoria Eugenia Theatre in San Sebastián. The concert consisted of a 45-minute set composed of remixes made from original studio recordings by Mikel Laboa. Given the good sensations generated by the concert, the idea then arose of performing this set in other places. In this spirit, Delorean is coming to Bilbao to perform the Mikel Laboa tribute concert at the Arriaga Theatre, this time extending its duration to 75 minutes, which implies the composition of new pieces that will be performed exclusively.

This concert is a unique opportunity to listen to Dolorean’s reinterpretation of Mikel Laboa’s songs, in which they pay tribute to one of the most important figures of contemporary Basque music.
