A previously unseen photo album from World War II is sent to Rebecca Erbelding, director of archives at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. The images show the officers who ran Auschwitz, the deadliest concentration camp in human history. As Rebecca delves into these photographs, a startling story begins to unfold: how do we live a normal daily life next to a death camp? Soon, the photos begin to appear on the front pages of newspapers around the world.
