Part of the OAL Bilbao Musika, the Bilbao Municipal Band has, over its more than century-long history, performed under the baton of conductors such as García Asensio, Marosi, Miles, Rotondi, Dzhalalov, Cober, Bostock and Cesarini, and alongside soloists including Iturralde, Bobenrieth, Eguillor, Ramada, Guinovart and Vicedo, as well as ensembles such as Euskadi Brass and the Orfeón Donostiarra.

The Bilbao Municipal Band has released 20 highly diverse albums, ranging from Aires de Euskal Herria and Tell me a Brass Story to Bidaiak and Haizea, under the direction of José R. Pascual-Vilaplana. It has performed throughout Spain, with notable concerts at the Palau de la Música in Valencia, the Kursaal in Donostia-San Sebastián, L’Auditori in Barcelona, Teatros del Canal in Madrid, the 30th Festival de Música Española de León, the XXXI Otoño Musical Soriano–Festival Internacional de Música de Castilla y León, and the opening concerts of Fair Saturday in Bilbao, among many others, as well as, of course, numerous performances at Teatro Arriaga.
