Ainhoa Arteta is returning to the Arriaga to perform famous zarzuela ballads and opera arias written for female lead characters. The soprano will be accompanied on the piano at this concert by the great Rubén Fernández Aguirre. The repertoire will include compositions from famous works such as Mirentxu, La del manojo de rosas, Tosca and Manon Lescaut, among others. The concert will feature songs such as “Goizeko eguzki argiak”, from Mirentxu; “No corté más que una rosa”, from La del manojo de rosas; and “Vissi d’arte”, from Tosca.

Furthermore, in the first part of the recital, separately, the soprano and pianist will also be performing songs by three modern-day composers: Antón García Abril, Lorenzo Palomo and Miquel Ortega. These songs will delight audiences with their melodic beauty and the superb relationship between text and music. The three composers selected for this part of the recital also have a close bond with the performers, since Ainhoa Arteta and Rubén Fernández Aguirre have had the pleasure of working with them.
