Amuriza’s grandmother used to hold weekly romerías in front of the farmhouse. With a tambourine in her hands and the help of her voice, she would get the neighbours dancing. It wasn’t just a party, it was also a way of life, because she lived off the food and drinks she sold at the romería. Amuriza comes from that world, he experienced those romerías at home and has dedicated his life to researching and studying the stories behind those *coplas* that were sung… they weren’t just lyrics, they were photos, snapshots of the moment: the snow on the mountain, the neighbourhood donkey, the boy from the farmhouse… eleven life scenes. Xabier Amuriza will review his life through the coplas he has collected and created over the past decades.

In this encounter, Amuriza appears once again alongside his friend Agus Barandiaran, to merge music and *coplas*. They may even dare to analyse the meaning and essence of the 85 *coplas*. Back in 2020, we already enjoyed another recital with both creators in the Arriaga foyer, which left a very good impression.
