Sasha Waltz and her 14 dancers perform a powerful piece dealing with existential issues in a broken society that is full of contrasts: power and impotence, dominance and weakness, freedom and control, community and isolation… A powerful dance that draws the map of a society about to fall apart.

A brilliant dancer from Germany, Sasha Waltz studied in USA and the Netherlands (Amsterdam). She has a long dancing career (25 years) and heads her own company, Sasha Waltz & Guests. She has performed in many cities around the world, opposite big artists like Daniel Barenboim, among others. In 2013, Sasha Waltz & Guests was named a European Cultural Ambassador by the European Union.

Sasha Waltz is at front-page news in the world of dance, because this year, 2019, she will be taking over from Nacho Duato at the helm of Berlin’s State Ballet, the prestigious Staatsballett Berlin.

Outside of Germany, the Arriaga Theatre is, together with La Villette in Paris, the only cultural venue in Europe that is staging Kreatur this year, the only performance of this production in Spain.
