In this new chapter of Teatro Arriaga, we would like the audience to feel at home. To remember, to discover, and above all to enjoy, through the music of this programme from the 19th century and the early 20th. We want to recover the intimate and welcoming spirit of music once heard in domestic salons. To turn the foyer into a space without distance.
Through pages of French chanson, Spanish song and zarzuela, we will travel through landscapes connected by that sincere musical expression that carries the flavour of home. We will begin with the elegance of the Parisian salon through G. Fauré, then move towards our own essence with J. Guridi and E. Chacón, before continuing our popular journey with F. Obradors. And we cannot help but immerse ourselves in the vitality of zarzuela with Joaquín Gaztambide, M. Fernández-Caballero and F. Moreno Torroba.
Let us share, in short, a morning of music made at home.
This concert is part of a new series: Matinées Arriagan. We invite the audience to come closer and enjoy an aperitif during the concert, savouring good music in a relaxed atmosphere.
