MATINÉES ARRIAGAN: AMODIOA
A piano, a voice, and every possible way of saying “I love you”.
We celebrate Valentine’s Day with this morning recital, performed by tenor Aitor Garitano and pianist Germán Ormazabal. The two artists will offer a musical journey that combines Basque musical heritage with the European Romantic lied, in a concert that highlights the importance of small-scale repertoire and demonstrates its power to move an audience.
Through a selection of love songs, and with the intention of giving body to emotion, the stage will become a space of communication. The programme focuses on the poetic weight of the texts, underlining the evolution of the language of love in music across the centuries. In this sonic journey, the local language and roots are placed in dialogue with the great international aesthetics, revealing a strong artistic coherence. Ultimately, this musical event celebrates love not as a cliché, but as a means of human exploration.
This concert is part of a new series: *Matinées Arriagan*. We invite the audience to come closer and enjoy an aperitif during the concert, savouring good music in a relaxed atmosphere.
