In 2025, the twentieth anniversary of the death of Lurdes Iriondo has been commemorated. Born in San Sebastián on March 27, 1937, and passing away in Urnieta, Gipuzkoa, on December 27, 2005, her legacy is honoured through *Isilarazitako ahotsa*, a dramatized performance that blends poetry and music to revive the life and voice of Lurdes Iriondo.

The production is structured around thematic blocks—childhood, music, love, illness, children, the Basque language, and womanhood—each combining dramatized texts or poems with a song. Drawing on Iriondo’s original music, the performance explores her voice, symbolic world, and historical context.

This poetic tribute weaves together music, words, and memory. For those who lived through that time, it is a journey into the past; for new generations, it is an invitation to discover one of the icons of Basque feminism. The show highlights the personal and collective significance of Iriondo’s path: she defended the Basque language and social justice, and kept singing despite the silence imposed on her. The final song, *Hala ere*, brings an emotional close, standing as a symbol of strength and resilience: *“hala ere, gelditu egingo naiz; hau gure lurra da”* (“Still, I will remain; this is our land”).
