Lathe biósas

by Kanpai

Thousands of words in one gesture, images in movement expanding in our mind like the planets in the universe.

18 to 19 november 2020

ABSOLUTE PREMIERE AT ARRIAGA THEATER

Lathe biósas describes the encounter of two people in a space-time continuum. This encounter generates an intimate dialogue that stresses the value of stopping, observing and directing the gaze, in search of a lost connection with the meaning of life. The Kanpai company creates a visual poem replete with images of great pictorial weight that envelop the spectator. It creates a place that evokes an attitude towards life, a state of mind, a perspective. A performance that seeks to retain thousands of words in one gesture, to create moving images with the capacity to expand in our minds, like the planets in the universe.

Kanpai, co-directed by Natalia De Miguel and Jorge Jauregui Allue, works on the suggestive power of image. It explores the spiritual and perceptive side of the human experience, asking questions and inciting the audience to do the same.
