With music by the Bilbao-born Juan Crisóstomo de Arriaga, this opera tells the story of Jamil, a young fisherman with a beautiful voice, and Amirah, a lovely princess. Together, they must overcome many obstacles, but in the end all will turn out well thanks to the triumph of true love.
