HOFESH SHECHTER COMPANY: THEATRE OF DREAMS
We dive into a world of fantasy and the subconscious—a wild immersion into the theatre of dreams.
The new full-length performance by Hofesh Shechter takes audiences on a wild immersion into the theatre of dreams. Performed by the inimitable dancers of the Hofesh Shechter Company, this bold and thrilling piece delves into a world of fantasy and the subconscious, revealing fears, hopes, desires, and a myriad of emotions that permeate not only our dreams but also our waking thoughts: the mind is king.
The dancers’ bodies bring to life on stage this interplay between poetry and reality, accompanied by a small live band performing against Shechter’s emblematic cinematic soundtrack. Hofesh, together with lighting designer Tom Visser and costume designer Osnat Kelner, creates a powerful and sculptural atmosphere for this dreamlike landscape.
