Hamaika amaren seme (alaba)
This show focuses on the developments of Basque society over the past century
This show by Doke Antzerki Taldea, a theatre company from Arrasate, focuses on the developments of Basque society over the past century and the parallel evolution of Eusko Ikaskuntza (the Basque Studies Society), established in 1918. From the days of Carlism and powerful rural mythologies to unruly contemporary ideologies with unpredictable consequences, the show offers a string of bright and dark moments, where gloom and hope shake hands.
The score includes both specially composed music and pieces from the historical periods being illustrated.
