Pierre and Cecil, two old friends, reunite after many years. Their conversation, interwoven with memories and reflections, is marked by the wait for a mysterious author who never arrives. Or perhaps he has been there from the very beginning?
*Esencia* is one of the most enigmatic plays by Ignacio García May—a labyrinth of perceptions where reality wavers and becomes blurred. It is an invitation to reflect and to question our own certainties, an exploration of the reality that surrounds us. *Esencia* is the very non-existence of the real.
