Antonio Oyarzabal

The piano tells us a story

25 february 2018

Antonio Oyarzabal “Pianoak istorio bat kontatzen digu” “The piano tells us a story”.

As the finishing touch to the ‘French Programme’, pianist Antonio Oyarzabal will be treating us to a lovely recital featuring Poulenc’s “L’histoire de Babar” and the pieces from Ravel’s “Ma mère l’oye” (solo piano version). Both pieces include texts that will be recited by a narrator, creating a different and attractive artistic element for the audience.

The show is particularly suited to families, not because it is didactic but rather for its poetic and narrative character, whilst also offering lots of fun. At this Sunday matinee recital, audiences can follow the different stories as they discover these gems from the history of French piano and chamber music.
